PMA is seeking a full-time Senior Program Officer II (Associate Director) to lead the PMA data team, ensure overall technical quality of the project, and contribute to the larger leadership and strategy initiatives as PMA looks to grow and expand beyond its current funding cycle (end of 2022).
Research Program Officer
The Research Program Officer I will support computer programming and data management activities across several project countries and in Baltimore. This position will assist with preparation and management of data for public use and will maintain tools for users of public PMA datasets. The Research Program Officer I will be tasked with improving the efficiency of PMA data collection and processing systems.
PMA is seeking a full-time Program Officer I to provide cross-cutting support across the PMA Baltimore Survey Operations and Data management teams. This is a new position within the PMA Baltimore team and the person hired should be excited by the flexibility of providing project support across a variety of technical areas related to global project management and administration, as well as specific country support to in-country partner technical staff working in survey operations and data management. The Program Officer I reports to the Associate Director of Operations.
Francophone Research Program Officer
PMA is seeking a full-time Francophone Research Program Officer to support data management and analysis activities across all project countries and in Baltimore, with a particular focus on Francophone countries. PMA Francophone countries currently include Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Niger and DRC. Major responsibilities include providing remote/in-person technical assistance during field staff trainings, field pre-testing, and data collection, including computer programming and data management activities. In addition, the Francophone Research Program Officer will also program questionnaires on the innovative Open Data Kit (ODK) platform. These questionnaires will be used to collect responses from tens of thousands of women about their health and welfare. In both of these core functions, the Francophone Research Program Officer will also take a lead role in technical capacity strengthening initiatives, including providing direct support to Francophone country teams to become more autonomous in the areas of data management and ODK programming.
PMA is seeking a full-time Programmer Analyst to help manage the full life cycle of PMA data collection. Core responsibilities are to maintain and test PMA questionnaires in ODK, as well as train in-country staff to create and edit ODK survey forms, set up and monitor central servers for housing data, assist data visualization efforts, create web applications to manage and interpret PMA questionnaires and data, and provide support to data cleaning and the release of final datasets. The Programmer Analyst will be a master of the innovative ODK technology, to use it and to train on it. This is a dynamic role, and the Programmer Analyst is expected to bring his/her expertise to introduce efficiencies to the project. The Programmer Analyst will be a member of the central PMA ODK team and assist with any additional technical support needs that arise throughout the duration of the project.
